Day 6

This fitness thing is quickly becoming a habit, today I braved the –24C conditions outside for a chilly run. The cold air makes it feel like your carrying an extra 10lbs on your chest easily, plus you never quite warm up. Music today was provided by Cold War Kids and Linkin Park. I’m really digging their new stuff but the best song had to be Krwling from their Reanimation album, its saucy.

Day 6

Another late workout, tonight I didn't start til 1:30am because I went straight to work after I woke up and right to Stony Plain to visit my cousins after work. Today was a more intense ball workout I upped my reps by 20% today to help pick up the pace. It's amazing how great of a full body workout you can get from just a simple ball.No music tonight but instead I watched 2 episodes of The Daily Show With John Stewart which is always entertaining, tonight they were criticizing Bill O'Reilly which is always funny. Goodnight!

Day 4

As you can see I missed posting last night mainly because I got home at 3am and haven't been home since 11. Today I decided to change it up a bit instead of the usual I went skiing with Andrew and Stephen at Snow Valley. I thought I would try out my new camera today and I made a bunch of videos which I will post sooner or later on the Facebook. In my opinion the new express chair at Valley is ridiculous seeing how tiny the hill is, it only takes me 15 secs to get down if I go straight down.

Day 3

Its late but I'm still going to post anyways. Day 3 was much like day 2 in terms of exercise except for the fact I added some additional exercises at the end. Ice is keeping me indoors for now don't really want a broken leg. Music today was from Mumford and Sons and Led Zeppelin. Tired so I'm going to sign off. Night

Day 2

If you noticed the timestamps are for the same date for days 1 and 2 that's because I forgot to publish yesterday, hopefully I can post with some regularity from now on. The rain today made the running even worse today thus I stayed inside and did work on the exercise ball instead... don't laugh I would say its actually a harder work out. The ball works on your whole core even when you are just sitting and taking a break which is why I'm making it my new T.V chair. I realized today that I need some sort of meal plan to make this thing work (my diet today consisted of IHOP, pizza and candy!) so definitely going to start eating better from now on. Tomorrow my plan is to sort out a permanent swimming pool gym situation because I swear the pool at my school is only used by seniors aquasizing. Before I forget music today included The Bravery, Deadmau5, Enrique, Duck Sauce and to finish Tokyo Police Club. Fun fact The Bravery released their album "The Sun and the Moon" in two different versions "The Sun" and "The Moon" both having the same songs only with different melody, kinda like Good Charlotte's "Chronicles of Life and Death". That is totally a band I haven't heard in a while

Day 1

Hello,
The point of this blog is to journal and document my summer goals, running in the Lake Summerside Triathlon on June 6, and the Edmonton Marathon on August 21 but also so I stay accountable and train everyday. The first event is only 130 days away! Today I did a 2km run almost killing myself along the way with all the ice on the sidewalks... I see a lawsuit on my horizon. First time running with my iPhone and I couldn't believe I lived without it, the voice controls meant that I could change songs from the headset a real thumbs up! Music today was from the album "The Suburbs" from the Arcade Fire and "Parachutes" from Coldplay.
